In 2021, I went through a tough time emotionally, feeling lost most of the time. Dancing has always been a passion of mine, and whenever I felt stressed, I would dance to help myself feel better. I discovered the healing power of dance, especially when combined with the counselling training I've undergone and my lifelong learning journey. This realization inspired the creation of TAD ~ Therapeutic Afrobeat Dance. ☀
Purpose
Our classes are designed to foster self-love, cultivate mindfulness, and alleviate stress and anxiety through the joy of dance. We merge physical activity with mental well-being for a holistic approach to wellness.
Vision
I dream of a world where everyone can heal, where people feel free to embrace and express their true selves. I hope for a society where being authentic and unique is celebrated, even in a culture that often pressures us to conform. My vision is for us all to give and receive love freely.
What to expect in a session
A session can look much like a talking therapy session, but is not. You will be working in a dance studio. Keep in mind, you don’t need any previous dance experience.
The Therapeutic Afrobeat Dance class focuses on therapy and healing, using both urban and traditional Afrobeat songs and movements.
