Years ago, I found myself trapped in a narrow mindset, influenced by my religious pattern, where I distanced myself from anyone who did not share my beliefs. I thought I was better, convinced I had all the answers, while others were lost and in need of saving. I believed it was my responsibility to rescue them.

My understanding of life, God, and righteousness was shaped by a limited, rigid worldview.

But when I began to open my heart, welcoming people with their own unique experiences, I discovered an incredible beauty in humanity. I started learning and gaining wisdom from those different from me. I saw people who didn’t need rules or a book to guide them in being loving, kind, and gentle. I saw individuals who, though not perfect, are on their own journeys of healing.

I see humans, and in them, I see God.

Yes, there is still evil present in the world, as a result of those who have not yet realized how loved and included they are. But I choose to believe in humanity. Because God does!
